Member ownership

Members are at the centre of the co-operative.

The society exists to serve the shared economic and welfare interests of its farmer members. Governance decisions, oversight, daily management, factory operations, records, services, and communication should all support that purpose.

The structure below is a simplified public guide. Official office holders, detailed job titles, committee mandates, and reporting arrangements should always follow the society's registered by-laws and approved records.

  • Set policy and strategic direction.
  • Oversee management performance and major risks.
  • Review budgets, plans, reports, and approved investments.
  • Promote integrity, transparency, and accountable decision-making.
02

Oversight body

Supervisory Committee

The Supervisory Committee should remain distinct from daily management and provide objective review through the society's proper governance channels.

  • Review internal controls and governance compliance.
  • Monitor whether approved procedures are being followed.
  • Examine records and issues within its lawful mandate.
  • Raise concerns through the correct member and governance structures.
  • Support accountability without taking over management duties.
